The Flying Jellyfish Phenomenon

The Flying Jellyfish Phenomenon is a mockumentary film develops around a series of jellyfish-like creatures that Kadir Kayserilioğlu has been drawing and collecting in sketchbooks since 2012. The work imagines a strange phenomenon in which people across Turkey begin to hysterically report visions of the same creatures. Combining interviews with alleged witnesses and discussions surrounding these visions, the video moves between fiction and documentary while reflecting on life, art, and the uncertain boundary between the two.
